first church ministries

To accomplish our mission to prepare, seek, live, and teach we offer a variety of ministries that encourage, instruct and uplift our First Church families. Because we're a church where everyone is family, we strive to offer options that will minister to every member of the family, from the cradle to the rocker. While each ministry is unique, we are all united behind the singular vision of seeing God's Kingdom come in our lives and in our communities.

Life Groups

At First Church we believe that no one should do live alone and that fellowship is a pivotal part of the Kingdom. The Bible teaches us that the First Century church gathered house to house breaking bread, developing relationships with fellow believers, and sharing the Gospel. Like the disciples before us, we believe in the power of unity through relationship and fellowship, and at First Church we work toward that goal through Life Groups.

Life Groups are small, interest based groups that weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for a twelve week semester in the Spring and in the Fall. Life Groups change from season to season, but we will consistently include options that are of interest and give us the opportunity to prepare, seek, live, and teach.

If you'd like to know more, contact our Church Office, email Sarah Lewis, or follow this link to see the Life Groups that are currently active.

Do life with us at First Church!

dream team

Our mission at First Church is to prepare, seek, live and teach. We accomplish our outreach goals through neighborhood blitzes, block parties, and serve days. We also make an effort to promote our special events by inviting our neighbors to services such as Friend Day, First Responders Appreciation Breakfast, Veterans Day, and our Memorial Day Family Picnic, among others. And it take a team of awesome volunteers to make all this happen!

The Dream Team is the volunteer core of First Church. Our outreach efforts, as well the support provided during our special services and events, are channeled through our amazing, service-minded team of volunteers. The Dream Team operates to serve our community by embodying the nature of Christ, which is to put others first in all things.

KIDz CLub

Families are a priority at First Church, and this is evident by our dynamic Alpha Kids Children's Ministry supported by our Sunday School Department and Kidz Club. At 7:00 pm on Wednesday nights in our Children's Chapel at our Family Life Center we provide a fun, engaging environment for our kids ages 4-11 to interact with one another and most importantly to develop their personal walks with God. Kidz Club generally begins with classroom time for our various age groups and cumulates with an engaging service, but parties, field trips to the splash pad, and candy rains are not unheard of. It's always fun at Kidz Club!
